New Delhi: Twitter users have been striving for an edit button since the microblogging platform's inception. The company has succumbed to many user requests, such as increasing the word limit and even introducing a dark mode. On the other hand, the edit button was a feature that never made it onto the platform until now. The undo feature is now available as part of the Twitter Blue subscription.

Twitter Blue is the social media company's first subscription offering, and it's a significant step in the company's efforts to diversify its revenue sources beyond its core business of selling advertising on the platform.

The service is now available in Australia and Canada. There is no word on when the service will be available in India, but the subscription price has been spotted on the Apple App Store, which shows Rs 269 per month in India, at least on iOS. On the App Store, the price is no longer reflected.

Twitter Blue Features Includes

For the time being, Twitter Blue users will have access to three premium features. Undo Tweet, Bookmark Folders, Reader Mode, customisable Twitter icons, and coloured themes are among them.

  • Undo Tweet, as the name implies, allows Twitter users to undo a previously posted tweet.

  • Bookmarks Folders will allow users to bookmark interesting tweets and organise them into folders to avoid a cluttered list of bookmarks.

  • A Reader Mode will allow users will be able to convert tweet threads into text that is easier to follow and read. This works by combining all of the tweets in a thread into a single screen.

  • Different Coloured Themes will let users of Twitter Blue be able to incorporate different theme colours into their UI and change the colour of the main Twitter icon from the default Blue to Pink, Purple, Yellow, or Orange.

Twitter Blue is not related to Twitter's 'blue tick'

Keep in mind that Twitter Blue is a paid, monthly subscription-based plan that provides users with additional features. The service has nothing to do with receiving a 'blue tick' on Twitter. The blue tick is a Twitter verification mark given to well-known accounts.
