Handset maker OnePlus is known to release limited edition smartphones and now, the brand is set to launch its OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey variant soon. The limited-edition smartphone will be available in India soon and the handset maker has asked enthusiasts to "stay tuned" to OnePlus' official social media channels and website for more information.


The OnePlus 11 was initially launched in Titan Black and Eternal Green colours. Similar to OnePlus, other handset makers like Samsung, Oppo and Iqoo have released special edition smartphones in the past.

Facebook Owner Meta Slashes Business Workforce In Final Round Of Layoffs


Owner of Facebook, Meta Platforms Inc, cut jobs across its business and operations units on Wednesday, reported by news agency Reuters. The US-based tech giant has carried out its last batch of a three-part round of layoffs as it was announced in March to eliminate 10,000 positions.


The Reuters’ report stated that dozens of employees working in Meta teams such as marketing, site security, enterprise engineering, program management, content strategy, and corporate communications took to LinkedIn to announce that they were laid off from Facebook. According to the LinkedIn posts, the social media giant also cut employees from its units focused on privacy and integrity.

LG India may foray into business categories such as healthcare and water purification in the country and it will also invest deeper in its manufacturing ecosystem, its Managing Director Hong Ju Jeon was quoted as saying by news agency PTI. According to the South Korean tech major, India market holds a “big potential” as the economic situation here is bright compared to other global markets.

China-Sponsored Hackers Targeting Critical US Sectors


According to reports from Western intelligence agencies and Microsoft, a state-sponsored Chinese hacking group has been engaged in extensive espionage targeting critical infrastructure organisations in the United States. Sectors such as telecommunications, transportation hubs, and even the US territory of Guam, which houses strategically significant American military bases, have been affected. Microsoft warned that mitigating this attack would pose a challenge due to its scope. While mutual spying between China and the United States is not uncommon, analysts note that this is one of the largest cyber-espionage campaigns by China against American critical infrastructure to date. The Chinese embassy in Washington has yet to respond to requests for comment regarding these allegations.

This Android App On Google Play Was Sending Mic Recordings


A malicious Android app with more than 50,000 downloads on the Google Play Store has been discovered. The trojanized Android app named iRecorder – Screen Recorder, was initially uploaded to the Google Play Store without malicious functionality on September 19, 2021. However, it appears that malicious functionality was later implemented, most likely in version 1.3.8 of the app, which was made available in August 2022, according to Essential Security against Evolving Threats or ESET researchers.

TRAI's New Bid To Crackdown On Pesky Texts


TRAI on Thursday said all principal entities, like banks, financial institutions, and others, need to complete the process of verification of message headers and content templates immediately, as the telecom regulator forged ahead with its drive to crackdown on pesky messages to safeguard consumers. Any delay on part of Principal Entities (PEs) to get the reverification of headers and content templates may result in the blocking of their headers, content templates and messages, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) cautioned.
