New Delhi: Tesla CEO Elon Musk took a dig at Apple's $19 polishing cloth while introducing a new accessory, the Cyberwhistle, of the electric motor company.

Elon Musk unveiled the $50 'cyberwhistle' with a cryptic tweet, "Don't waste your money on that silly Apple Cloth". He asked people to buy Tesla’s cyberwhistle instead. The cyberwhistle went out of stock on the website hours after the Tesla CEO promoted it.

Musk posted the link to the website where people can place orders for Tesla's Cyberwhistle with the caption, "Blow the whistle on Tesla!" Musk had earlier taken a jibe at the Apple Cloth when the tech giant launched the product in September this year.

What Is Cyberwhistle?

According to the Tesla website, the limited edition Cyberwhistle is "inspired by Cybertruck" and is "a premium collectible made from medical-grade stainless steel with a polished finish". It includes "an integrated attachment feature for added versatility".

The Cyberwhistle is shaped like the Cybertruck, which is an electric truck announced by Musk in November 2019. Though the Cybertruck was scheduled to go into production in late 2021, Tesla has pushed the date to late 2022, according to reports, as per the company's website. A $100 refundable deposit can be claimed by potential customers, the website says.

One can find the Cyberwhistle under Tesla's lifestyle products on their website. Some lifestyle products sold by Tesla include the $150 Tesla decanter, a $45 desktop charger modelled after the Tesla Supercharger and a $35 S3XY mug, several die-cast models of vehicles, including the Tesla Semi.
