Handset maker Tecno has launched the Pova 6 Pro 5G, the company's latest mid-range 5G smartphone in India, after leaks and rumours. The smartphone features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, retains the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC and offers up to 12GB of RAM and 12GB of virtual RAM.

The phone sports what Tecno calls a Dynamic-Eye Design featuring a Dynamic Light Effect on the back cover. A total of 210 single-point controlled MiniLEDs produce ring-shaped and propeller-shaped light effects, quite similar to the Nothing Phone 1, Nothing Phone 2 and Nothing Phone 2a (read our first impressions here).

Users can personalise up to nine different scenarios, including calls, power status, and gaming, with 101 unique user-defined effects.

The Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G is available in Comet Green and Meteorite Grey colors, priced at Rs 19,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and Rs 21,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model. It will be released on Amazon.in starting April 4th.

The phone utilises Tecno's inaugural P-NCVM border, providing a seamless middle frame, along with an advanced Lithography Precision Technology Texture, offering a fine yet sturdy feel that resists fingerprints, as stated by the company.

Running on Android 14 with HiOS 14 overlay, the phone boasts a 108MP rear camera, a 2MP secondary camera and an AI lens, while featuring a 32MP front camera. Both front and rear cameras are equipped with dual LED flash. Additionally, it incorporates a cooling area of 27342mm² and integrates Tecno's 4D Vibration Sense for a more immersive gaming experience.

The phone features an in-display fingerprint scanner and houses a powerful 6000mAh battery with 70W Ultra Charge capability, enabling a 50 per cent charge in just 20 minutes, and a full charge in a mere 50 minutes. Additionally, when the battery is critically low, one per cent Super-Endurance Power allows for up to 20 minutes of calling. Furthermore, the phone supports 10W Reverse Charging.

Notably, it can be charged even in temperatures as low as -20°C and can operate in environments reaching up to 60°C. Safety measures include STS Secure Battery Technology to prevent internal shortcuts, Bypass Charge to avert overheating, and Charging Water Detection to notify users of any moisture detected, according to Tecno.
