Tech Deals Of The Week: It is a great time to be shopping online for great phones and great headphones. If you are not obsessed with the latest and greatest tech in town but instead are looking for something that just works wonders without blowing a hole in your wallet, there are some great deals out there, as brands shrink prices of oldish-but-still-goldish devices. Three gadgets that are total bargains at their reduced price tags are:

Google Pixel 7 Pro: For Photography Pros

Price: Rs 67,999 on Flipkart | Down From: Rs 84,999

Yes, it is a 2022 flagship. And take it from us, it is darned good even now. We are going to go out on a limb and say that it gives the Pixel 8 (which is selling for Rs 69,999) a run for its money and is better in some regards.

This is particularly so in the case of the cameras, where you get a 48-megapixel telephoto with 5x optical zoom, which remains a rarity even now, and some excellent digital zoom too. This is a Pixel so the other cameras (a 50-megapixel main and a 12-megapixel ultrawide) are awesome and you get a lot of smart edit features and timely Android updates.

Add a very good 6.7-inch quad HD+ resolution AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and a large 5000 mAh battery to the box with support for wireless charging (but no charger in the box) and this becomes a crazy good option for those wanting a great camera phone with plenty of smart features or just a pure Android experience on a premium device.

The Tensor G2 chip does hold it back from being a gaming beast, but then Pixels were never meant for hitting gaming out of the park. It looks like a typical Pixel too, complete with a camera bar and all, with IP68 dust and water resistance giving it take-it-swimmability.

Just for context: the Pixel 8 Pro is priced at Rs 1,04,999.

Samsung Galaxy S22: Small Wonder With Small-er Price

Price: Rs 34,999 on Flipkart | Launched At: Rs 85,999

Another 2022 flagship that has become a smashing good deal, thanks to bucks being taken off its bill! The Galaxy S22 had made waves with its compact form factor when it was launched and at 146 mm, it remains a small-ish wonder even today - it is smaller than the iPhone 15.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip remains close to flagship level even today, and the three cameras set up on the back with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide and a 10x optical zoom remain excellent performers.

This being a Samsung, it is hardly surprising that the 6.1-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate is a brilliant one. The phone has been updated to Android 14 and is scheduled to get the much-hyped Galaxy AI update in the coming days.

All this in a build that is still sleek and premium and comes with IP68 dust and water resistance (yes, take it to the pool). Just remember to keep a power bank or charger handy - that 3700 mAh battery needs at least one recharge a day and charges at a rather leisurely 25W. There's no charger in the box either.

Bose QC45: Best ANC Headphones (Now) Below Rs 20,000

Price: Rs 19,900 on Amazon | Launched At: Rs 32,900

Mention the word "Bose" and most people get visions of crazy good sound. And crazy high prices. Well, a hefty price cut means that you can get your hands (and ears) on a still-amazing Bose flagship at a much more affordable price.

The Bose Quiet Comfort 45 (QC 45) Bluetooth headphones started at just above Rs 30,000 and are now going for just under Rs 20,000.

For that money, you get some of the best active noise cancelling (ANC) around (yes, comparable to the best Sony can offer), incredible wearing comfort (although the earpads are prone to wear and tear) perhaps the best call handling on headphones, and of course, that rich slightly bass-infused and stunningly clear Bose sound that is a zone of its own.

You also get 22 hours of battery life and a sturdy carrying case (the headphones fold up very nicely too). We simply think these are the best Bluetooth headphones you can get for under Rs 20,000 in terms of sheer audio and ANC quality.

Monster Hunter Rise: Slay Or Ride Monsters At Your Will

Price: Rs 832 on PlayStation Store | Launched At: Rs 3,330

Perhaps the best deal on Sony’s May Savings Sale, the 2021 action RPG (initially launched on the Switch) is now available at under Rs 850 (that's a discount of a whopping 75 per cent). Building on the strong establishments of Monster Hunter: World, Rise brings in a bunch of handy features, including a new Palamute animal companion and the ability to ride a range of monsters.

Generally well-reviewed, Monster Hunter Rise enjoys a Metacritic score of 88 out of 100 (based on 130 critic reviews) at the time of writing.

If you are a PC player, you can grab the game on Steam at just Rs 599. A great deal for all RPG lovers out there.
