South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung is getting ready to launch the next series of foldable phones across the globe. Samsung has a history of also releasing or announcing a new OneUI build along with its flagship foldable smartphone lineup every year. This year might be slightly different as Samsung is expected to delay its typical release date plans for the launch of the One UI 7 as it may release the One UI 6.1.1 update for now. Along with the One UI 6.1.1, Samsung also might release a new S Pen-focused AI feature.

Why Was Samsung One UI 7 Update Postponed?

Rumours regarding the same have been doing rounds in the market. A tipster called Ice Universe recently made a few claims on X (formerly Twitter) according to which the One UI 7 is not expected to see the light of the day this year as Samsung's first focus at the moment is the One UI 6.1.1. This update is expected to be bigger than the usual ones and it might also include some new AI features to spice up things for users.

The tipster in the post claimed that Samsung will start to roll out this update to their Samsung Galaxy S24 series in August and the upcoming Fold 6 will also get this update along with some major improvements in the camera department.

Samsung introduced some AI features in One UI 6.1 earlier this year. However, we are yet to see some AI advancements on the S-pen. As per the tipster, this will change with the arrival of the upcoming One UI 6.1.1 update, with the new AI graffiti function. The functions and usability of it has still not been revealed though.

The upcoming One UI 6.1.1 update is also expected to bring improved system animation speed, with the wallpaper animation coming with a ‘larger scale’ for a more vibrant feel or look.
