- Display: The Galaxy S24 Ultra debuted with a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,600 nits of peak brightness. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is anticipated to maintain a similar 6.8-inch screen size, equipped with the same M13 OLED display technology. As a result, the display specifications are likely to be similar to those of its predecessor.
- Performance: The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, marking a significant improvement over the Galaxy S24 Ultra's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This upgrade promises faster speeds and enhanced performance. Additionally, the new model may increase RAM from 12GB to 16GB, further boosting performance and efficiency.
- Camera: The Galaxy S24 Ultra is widely recognised for its impressive camera setup, which includes a 200MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. For the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra, the ultrawide camera is anticipated to be upgraded from 12MP to 50MP, while other specifications are likely to stay the same. Additionally, there are speculations about new variable capabilities for the telephoto lens that might provide fixed focal lengths.
- Design: Users of the current Galaxy S24 Ultra have voiced concerns about its bulky build and flat edges. In response, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to feature a slimmer profile with subtly curved edges to improve handling. Despite these design tweaks, the titanium frame, quad-camera layout, S-pen placement, and other key design elements are expected to remain consistent with the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
- Battery: The Galaxy S24 Ultra launched with a 5000mAh battery, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra is anticipated to feature the same battery capacity. However, with the upgraded processor and increased RAM, the new model may deliver improved battery performance.
Apart from these upgrades, Samsung is also expected to announce a new Galaxy AI feature with OneUI 7 next year.
