Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024: What To Expect
The focal point of the event is expected to be the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, positioned as the flagship model for 2024. Early insights from leaks and speculations hint at distinctive features, such as a 6.8-inch screen with a remarkable peak brightness exceeding 2,500 nits, luxurious titanium edges, and a design evolution maintaining the sophistication of its predecessor.
Speculations suggest the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra might house a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 12GB of RAM, and storage options reaching up to 1TB of UFS 4.0. The battery capacity is likely to remain at 5,000mAh, with consistent wired charging speeds of 25/45W.
The camera setup, a trademark of Samsung flagship devices, is expected to make an impactful impression once again. The primary 200MP and 12MP ultra-wide cameras are anticipated to persist, with a notable change in the zoom configuration to a 5x shooter for improved photo quality.
Maintaining the dimensions of their predecessors, the Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus are set to feature 6.2-inch and 6.5-inch LTPO panels, respectively. The visual experience is enriched by dynamic refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. While the S24 Plus may boast a QHD plus resolution, the S24 is likely to stick to full-HD+ resolution.
Beyond the hardware, Samsung aims to captivate audiences with its Galaxy AI features. Inspired by the positive response to AI in 2023, Samsung seeks to compete with the Pixel 8 by incorporating AI-driven functionalities. A notable tool, akin to Magic Editor, allows users to edit and enhance photos, including the removal of undesirable elements. Another compelling feature is the real-time translation of phone calls facilitated by AI.
