New Delhi: Galaxy S22 Ultra, the newest phablet from Samsung, barely got a scratch and also passed JerryRigEverything's durability test with flying colours. Samsung had mentioned the Galaxy S22 Ultra's durability and capabilities some time back and it turns out the company's claims were true. Famed YouTuber JerryRigEverything has been producing videos that feature popular smartphones that undergo his harsh razor blade scratch test, lighter test and a bend test.
OnePlus 10 Pro that is yet to launch in India recently underwent JerryRigEverything's durability and failed miserably in it. During his test, the OnePlus 10 Pro shattered into pieces, but this time, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra underwent his test. JerryRigEverything's did not even leave a mark on the rear of the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s matte cover. In fact, the steel blade's mark was not there around the rear camera sensors that have protective rings around them. It looks like Samsung has used an anodised metal for it.
You can watch the full durability test video below.
JerryRigEverything's durability test and the video also showed that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra’s Gorilla Glass Victus+ can withstand scratches up to level 6 harness and can receive deeper grooves at level 7. Samsung has included the S Pen with the Galaxy S22 Ultra and that too underwent durability test. The famed YouTuber noted that everything was made out of metal. S Pen is also water-resistant there is a rechargeable capacitor for its Bluetooth features.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra passing JerryRigEverything's durability test with hardly any scratches is a big feat from Samsung that has made previous-gen Galaxy S series and Galaxy Note series smartphones with fragile glass bodies.
