The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge has been officially unveiled. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset, this laptop is the company's first artificial intelligence (AI) PC, extending its Galaxy AI mobile ecosystem which was first introduced with the Galaxy S24 flagship lineup. Samsung states that it is certified as a Microsoft Copilot+ PC and offers on-device AI capabilities with a 45 TOPS NPU for offline processing.


The Galaxy Book 4 Edge also introduces mobile AI features such as Live Translate, Chat Assist, and Circle to Search to PCs for the first time.


The Galaxy Book 4 Edge marks a partnership between tech giants Samsung and Microsoft, featuring the latter's Copilot suite of AI services. Its launch closely followed Microsoft's unveiling of their latest AI PCs -- the new Surface Pro (11th Edition) and Surface Laptop (7th Edition).

Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge Price And Availability


The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge starts at $1,349.99 (which roughly translates into Rs 1,12,450) for the 14-inch variant and $1,449.99 (approximately Rs 1,20,778) for the 16-inch variant. Available in a single colour, Sapphire, the laptop will be available for purchase starting June 18.

The 14-inch Galaxy Book 4 Edge features a 12-core 3.4GHz Snapdragon X Elite processor with 4.0GHz Dual Core Boost, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD (expandable up to 1TB). It has a 14-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2880 x 1800 resolution, up to 500 nits brightness, HDR, VRR, and covers 120 per cent of the P3 color gamut.


Connectivity options include two USB 4 Type-C ports, HDMI 2.1, and a combo audio jack.


As a Copilot+ PC, the Galaxy Book 4 Edge supports AI features like Live Captions, Circle to Search, Live Translate, Recall, and Cocreator. Additionally, users can enhance their video call experience with features such as portrait blur and voice focus, thanks to Windows Studio effects.


The new Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge features a Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen display with a resolution of 2880x1800 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes in two sizes: 14-inch for the Edge model and 16-inch for the Edge Pro model. The laptop is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite chipset with an Adreno GPU, a 12-core CPU, and a dedicated 45 TOPS Qualcomm Hexagon NPU. Both models support 16GB of RAM and offer up to 1TB of internal storage.
