New Delhi: Beating Google Pixel, Samsung has pledged four years of Android updates for the just-launched flagship Galaxy S22 line, the Galaxy Flip 3, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy S21 series. Over the past few years, the company has improved in terms of providing software updates and upgrades and now, this announcement makes it even better for last year's Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold. earlier in 2021, the South Korean tech giant had announced that it will provide 4 years of software updates for its smartphones and tablets that includes four years of security updates and three major OS updates.


Available on select Galaxy S series, Z series smartphones, A Series, and tablets, Samsung is working to scale its effort across its various product ranges within the Galaxy ecosystem and works closely with partners to deliver Android OS upgrades in record time through Samsung One UI. Samsung also provides four years of upgrades to One UI Watch and Wear OS Powered by Samsung.

The eligible Samsung Galaxy devices include with four years of One UI and five years of security updates include the Galaxy S Series: Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra as well as Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, S21 FE and the upcoming S series devices; Galaxy Z Series: Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3 and upcoming Z series devices; Galaxy Tablets: Galaxy TabS8, S8+, S8 Ultra and upcoming Tab S series devices; Galaxy Watch: Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and upcoming Galaxy Watch series devices.
