A new leak by known MIUI tester Kacper Skzypek suggests that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will launch in India as Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge. This comes after Xiaomi recently unveiled the Redmi Note 12 series in its home turf, China. The Redmi Note 12 lineup comprises Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+, and Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition. These models will likely be launched in India with different model names soon, the media has reported.

"#RedmiNote12ProPlus will come to India as #Xiaomi12iHyperCharge," Skzypek posted on Twitter.

It should be noted that the mid-range Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has already bagged certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and it has also made an appearance in the IMEI database, which hints at an imminent launch. However, there has been no official teaser or confirmation from Redmi or Xiaomi so far.

According to rumours, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ may be unveiled in the country in early 2023.

It's known that Xiaomi's HyperCharge models offer insane charging speeds as in the case of Xiaomi HyperCharge 11i. The device supported 120W fast charging. Its "rebranded" predecessor, if unveiled as the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, is likely to come with support for 120W fast charging too.

Expected specs and features of Redmi Note 12 Pro+

The upcoming Redmi Noted 12 Pro+ may launch with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset and support a HDR 10+ OLED screen. The display may have a refresh rate of 120Hz and measure around 6.67-inch in size. For power, there could be a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.

In terms of imaging, there could be three primary cameras on the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. The primary cameras at the back may feature a 200MP primary sensor along with 8MP and 2MP sensors. The device may ship with Android 13 OS out of the box.
