Redmi, the Xiaomi subsidiary focusing on affordable smartphones, is set to unveil its latest budget smartphone — the Redmi 13C — in India on December 6, following a period of relative quiet in product launches. While the device made its debut in select markets outside of China a few months ago, there are speculations that the Indian version may feature hardware modifications.
According to a report by 91Mobiles, Xiaomi is reportedly equipping the Redmi 13C in India with the more robust Helio G99 chipset, replacing the originally deployed Helio G85 from MediaTek for global variants. The remaining specifications are expected to stay consistent with the global model.
