Handset maker Poco is currently developing two new devices tailored specifically for the Indian market, the media has reported. The first device is the purported Poco F6 smartphone, said to continue the legacy of its predecessor, the Poco F5, which debuted in May last year. The second device in the pipeline is said to be Poco's inaugural tablet, expected to release alongside the Poco F6.

Despite the anticipation surrounding these developments, Poco has not teased anything officially regarding launch dates or device specifications. However, insights from industry speculation and leaks offer glimpses into what to anticipate.

As per rumours, the Poco F6 could potentially be a rebranded iteration of the Redmi Turbo 3, which was recently unveiled in China. Sources suggest that this smartphone might undergo a rebranding and enter the Indian market as the Poco F6, says a report by India Today. If these rumours materialise, the Poco F6 is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, a high-resolution 1220p display, a hefty 5,000 mAh battery, and support for 90W wired charging.

Furthermore, the report added, citing sources suggest that the Poco F6 will feature a dual-camera system, spearheaded by a 50-megapixel main camera with the Sony IMX882 sensor, coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens incorporating the Sony IMX 355 sensor. On the front, users can expect a 20-megapixel selfie camera equipped with the OV20B sensor from Omnivision.

As for pricing, there isn't enough information available. However, we can draw comparison from its predecessor, the Poco F5, offers insights into the likely pricing of the Poco F6 in India. The Poco F5 was introduced in two variants: one featuring 8GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at Rs 23,999, and the other boasting 12GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at Rs 29,999. We can expect aggressive pricing for the Poco F6, likely falling below the Rs 30,000 segment.

Meanwhile, the report also points at Poco's venture into the tablet category. The Redmi Pad Pro, launched in China in March this year, is said to debut in India as Poco's maiden tablet offering. As per Weibo teasers, the Redmi Pad Pro's compatibility with a stylus and Bluetooth keyboard, alongside its dual rear camera configuration and HyperOS operating system has been spotted. Recent leaks also indicate the tablet will feature a 12.1-inch LCD display with 2.5K resolution and a robust 10,000 mAh battery, driven by a 4nm chipset.

Furthermore, a recent certification listing unveiled that the Redmi Pad Pro, aka the Poco tab, will be launched in a WiFi-only variant.

If the Poco tablet hit the shelves, it would mark the inaugural Poco-branded entry into the tablet market. Notably, Poco operates as a sub-brand under handset maker Xiaomi's umbrella.
