New Delhi: Oppo is set to launch the first model in the K series and also refresh its Enco earbuds line in India today (Wednesday). The company will announce its Oppo K10 and Oppo Air 2 TWS earbuds via an online launch event at 12pm and the virtual launch event can be live-streamed through Oppo's official channels.
To recall, Oppo had unveiled the K10 in its home turf some time ago and this is the first time an Oppo K series device will make it to Indian market. Among key expected specs of Oppo K10 are a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP main sensor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset and a hol-punch display. The Oppo Enco Air 2 TWS earbuds may arrive with 13.4-mm composite "titanised" diaphragm drivers. According to teasers, both the devices will be unveiled in two distinct colours.
There is no hint on the pricing of the Oppo K10 yet, but the device is said to be priced under Rs 20,000 and as per the Oppo India website, the K10 will go on sale starting March 29. The Oppo Enco Air 2 TWS earbuds are currently listed for Rs 9,999 on the company's official website in Blue and White colour models and can be bought from the website starting March 29.
Oppo had revealed some details about the Oppo K10 ahead of the launch and according to them, the device will also feature expandable RAM and storage. There could be artificial intelligence (AI) based triple primary camera setup and for selfies, there could be a 16MP AI camera at the front. Meanwhile, the Enco Air 2 earbuds are said to sport a translucent "jelly" case design which is novel for the wireless earbuds segment. A successor to the Oppo Enco Air, several features of the Enco Air 2 have been confirmed that include 24-hour battery life.
Another smartphone launch to look forward to in this month is the Poco X4 Pro 5G that is slated to launch on March 28.
