At a time when tech giants Apple and Samsung are focusing on offline expansion in India, handset maker OnePlus has joined the league and announced the second iteration of OnePlus Roadtrip. OnePlus' new experience store is a Mercedes bus on wheels that will cover several regions across the country. The vehicles carrying a range of OnePlus products, including the OnePlus 11 Concept, originally unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, the flagship OnePlus 11 lineup, and the new OnePlus Pad, among others, will cover more than 25 cities in India.

  


This comes days after reports suggest that Apple is likely to open three more exclusive offline stores in India. The tech giant had opened its first official stores in India in Mumbai's BKC and New Delhi's Saket in April. The Cupertino-based tech giant is also looking to open 15 new outlets across the Asia-Pacific region, according to news agency Bloomberg.

South Korean tech giant Samsung is also set to open new "Experiential" stores, in a bid to expand its offline footprint in the country. According to a report by Gadgets Now, these stores will offer prospective buyers a "better overall" experience with 15 such premium flagship stores across India. Samsung already has two such stores operating in the country: one at the Opera House in Bengaluru and the other in New Delhi's Connaught Place, which was inaugurated earlier this year.


Meanwhile, OnePlus, under its unique campaign, has included two 32 feet-expandable Mercedes trucks that are mobile experience outlets. The "experience pop-up store" will cover more than 25 cities in the country, including Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Lucknow in north India and southern Indian cities such as Coimbatore, Chennai, Pune, Kochi, Ahmedabad and more. The pop-up store will also cover tier-II cities in the country.
