OnePlus is preparing to launch its next flagship, the purported OnePlus 11 instead of the OnePlus 11 Pro. According to leakster Max Jambor, the company will not launch a "Pro" model with the OnePlus 11 series. However, OnePlus will launch the standard OnePlus 11 with the pro features. It is expected to launch the OnePlus 11 in the first half of 2023, particularly in January.
"The upcoming OnePlus Pro model is called OnePlus 11," tipster Max Jambor tweeted.
Expected specs and features of OnePlus 11
The upcoming OnePlus 11 is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 2 chipset. OnePlus 11 is likely to come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display and the screen may offer a refresh rate of 120Hz. For selfies, there could be a punch-hole camera cut at the top of the display. The OnePlus 11 may come with a triple rear camera on the back, led by a 50MP primary rear camera coupled with a 48MP ultra-wide sensor and a 32MP telephoto sensor. The primary camera may come with Hasselblad branding.
Some reports suggest that the OnePlus 11 will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. OnePlus may launch a Pro version with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen2 SoC down the year as well.
The OnePlus 11 may be unveiled with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage and the smartphone is likely to boot Android 13 OS out of the box.
Other expected specs of the OnePlus 11 include an in-display fingerprint sensor and Dolby Atmos, 5G support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS and USB Type-C port for charging.
Samsung is also expected to launch its much-awaited Galaxy S23 series in the first half of 2023.
To recall, the last OnePlus phone to launch was the OnePlus 10T which was unveiled globally, including in India. The OnePlus 10T is the newest device in the OnePlus 10-series of flagship smartphones and it is said to be the most powerful OnePlus smartphone yet. The OnePlus 10T 5G is powered by top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and comes with 16GB of RAM, which is a first for a OnePlus device.
