Nothing Phone 2a Leaked Render Suggests It May Not Come With Glyph UI

Nothing Phone 2a has also bagged NBTC certification, signalling an imminent launch.

The anticipation is building as Nothing, the innovative UK startup spearheaded by former OnePlus luminary Carl Pei, prepares to unveil its latest offering, the Nothing Phone 2a, in India later this month. Ahead of the official launch, a leaked render of the smartphone has surfaced online, providing insight into some notable design elements. 

The leaked render, disclosed by reputable tipster Steve H. McFly (@onleaks) in collaboration with Smartprix, showcases the rear of the handset featuring a revamped design with a white finish. Interestingly, the render indicates the absence of the Glyph Interface, a signature feature found in Nothing's previous Phone 1 and Phone 2 models.

Unlike its predecessors, the Nothing Phone 2a seems to sport a transparent rear panel, a departure from the customisable LED array of the Glyph interface. Moreover, the camera layout on the Nothing Phone 2a differs from its predecessors, featuring two vertically arranged lenses in the top-left corner, accompanied by Nothing branding and regulatory icons at the bottom.

These deviations in design, particularly the omission of the Glyph interface and the altered camera arrangement, may set the Nothing Phone 2a apart from its predecessors, offering a fresh look and feel to users. 

Adding to the buzz, the Nothing Phone 2a has recently acquired NBTC certification, as disclosed by reputable tipster Mukul Sharma, indicating an imminent launch. 

Scheduled for a debut during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 later this month, the Nothing Phone 2a, codenamed Aerodactyl, is anticipated to target the mid-range segment. Exclusive to Flipkart in India, the smartphone is poised to inherit and enhance upon the features of last year's Nothing Phone 2, promising an elevated user experience compared to its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 1.
