London-based consumer tech brand Nothing on Tuesday (March 5) launched its latest product, the Nothing Phone 2a. The Nothing Phone 2a has been launched in India for Rs 23,999 for the 8GB/128GB storage model without any bank offers. There are two other storage models from the company. The phone is available for a special launch price of Rs 19,999 just for one day on March 12 on e-commerce platform Flipkart, the company said during the launch in New Delhi.


The brand has promised three years of major Android updates and four years of security updates for the device, which is rare in this price segment. 


According to Carl Pei's Nothing, it the Nothing Phone 2a brings the following upgrades over the Nothing Phone 1: 30 per cent improved battery life, 40 per cent better brightness, 30 per cent better heat dissipation and 21 per cent reduction in bezel thickness, among others.


Nothing Phone 2a India Pricing


Available in two variants, the smartphone comes at a starting price of Rs 23,999 in India. Marking a significant milestone, this event marks the company's inaugural global launch event hosted in India. The Nothing Phone 2a showcases the brand's distinctive transparent design and will be offered in both black and white colour options. Running on the Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5, the device features the iconic glyph interface we saw on Nothing Phone 1 and Nothing Phone 2.


The model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will be priced at Rs 25,999. Meanwhile, the top-tier variant, boasting 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, will come at a price tag of Rs 27,999.


Nothing Phone 2a Bank Offers


Additionally, Nothing has unveiled HDFC Bank credit and debit card offers worth Rs 2,000. This translates to a starting price of Rs 21,999 for eligible customers purchasing the base model, while the highest-tier variant will be available at Rs 25,999.


Nothing Phone 2a Camera, Specs And Features


The Nothing Phone 2a is driven by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset, capable of supporting up to 12 GB of RAM. Furthermore, the device boasts an 8 GB RAM booster, effectively elevating the total RAM capacity to 20 GB. Available in three RAM and storage configurations, two models feature 8 GB of RAM with options for either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. The top-tier variant is equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.


The Phone 2a features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with up to 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits. Nothing claims that the Phone 2a features the thinnest bezels in its smartphone line-up, measuring just 2.1 mm symmetrically on all four sides of the screen. Fuelling the smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Notably, the phone does not come with a charging brick in the box, similar to Samsung and Apple.


In the photography department, the Phone 2a comes equipped with a dual-camera setup at the rear. This setup comprises a 50-megapixel main camera featuring an f/1.88 aperture lens, a 1/1.56-inch sensor size, and optical image stabilisation support. Additionally, there's a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera boasting a 114-degree field-of-view. For capturing selfies, the Phone 2a boasts a 32-megapixel front camera, identical to the one used in the Nothing Phone 2.
