Carl Pei's consumer tech brand is set to launch the Nothing Phone 1 officially on July 12 (Tuesday, which is today) globally and in India. The Nothing Phone 1 is the company's first smartphone launching today after the Nothing Ear 1 TWS earbuds. The Nothing Phone 1 has been hyped by the founder, Carl Pei who is also the former co-founder of handset maker OnePlus. The Nothing Phone 1 will be unveiled at an event that the company is calling (brace yourselves): Nothing (event): Return to Instinct. The event would begin at 8:30 pm IST. The Nothing Phone 1's main USP is the LED lighting on the back panel that can be customised. The launch event of the Nothing Phone 1 can be streamed live on the consumer tech company's website. A leak by tipster Yogesh Brar on Monday suggested that the Nothing Phone 1 may eventually be made available via open sale. Initially, the device would be available only to buyers who use an invite code to pre-order the phone. As per a new leak, the open sale date could be July 21 for several regions in Asia, including India and Europe.

As mentioned earlier, the company has already revealed some details of the upcoming Nothing Phone 1 and some of the unique features include a mid-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G SoC and customisable LED lights called Glyphy Light. There has been a lot of hype around the phone, courtesy of the LED lights alone that the device is equipped with and a refreshing, flamboyant design.
