The anticipated launch of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, succeeding the Motorola Edge 40 Pro unveiled in April 2023, has stirred interest, with leaked renders shedding light on its potential design and colour variants. The renders showcase the handset in three distinctive colours — Black, Purple, and White, featuring a Stone-like pattern, with the Black and Purple options displaying faux leather textures.


As detailed in a report by Android Headlines, the leaked renders of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro hint at a launch date of April 3, as indicated on the lock screen of the device. The report speculates that the phone might be unveiled on this date. Additionally, the report suggests that the model may debut in China under the name Moto X50 Ultra, as teased recently, and might also hit the US market with the moniker Motorola Edge+ (2024).

The design revealed in the renders showcases a curved display with minimal bezels, accompanied by a centred hole-punch slot at the top. The device is expected to sport a 6.7-inch display with an impressive 165Hz refresh rate. On the right edge, the volume and power buttons are positioned, while the USB Type-C charging port is visible on the bottom edge.


The rear of the phone features a rectangular camera module housing three camera sensors and an LED flash unit. The leaked information also hints at the device being powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with 12GB of RAM, and it is expected to boast a triple rear camera setup. 


According to the report, the forthcoming Motorola Edge 50 Pro is rumoured to feature a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.4 aperture, a 13mm wide-angle camera, and a 73mm telephoto shooter with up to 6x zoom.


The phone may house a 4,500mAh battery, supporting rapid charging capabilities such as 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, as per the report. Further details about the device are anticipated to be revealed as the launch date approaches.
