Handset maker Xiaomi is likely to unveil MIUI 14, its custom ROM based on Android 13 soon. The update to Xiaomi's custom ROM is likely to be announced during the third quarter of this year and the smartphone manufacturer may also launch a version of MIUI 14 based on Android 12 for select handsets, a report has claimed.


This comes almost a year after Xiaomi announced MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and now it is making way for MIUI 14 which is likely to be released on the 12th anniversary of MIUI, August 16. The 14 based on the upcoming Android 13 is expected to bring a range of new features and improvements.


There has been no official word from the Chinese tech giant on the upcoming MIUI 14, but according to a report from Xiaomiui some details of Xiaomi's upcoming custom ROM have been leaked. According to a report by MyDrivers, we won't see an intermediate version of MIUI this year, similar to what we have seen in the MIUI 12.5 which means that the handset maker would directly jump from MIUI 13 to MIUI 14.


As far as the features and capabilities are concerned, the upcoming MIUI 14 would get an improved anti-fraud protection tool which could point out fraud calls, messages and apps. MIUI 14 would also bring support for Qualcomm LE Audio Bluetooth audio technology. 


List of Xiaomi devices that may get MIUI 14


Among the devices that are likely to receive the MIUI 14 are Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 11 lineup of devices. Apart from these, the Xiaomi Mix 4 Xiaomi MI 11 series and MI 10 lineup may receive the MIUI 14 update. Also, the Xiaomi Pad 5 would get the latest custom skin from the company.

The list of Redmi devices that are likely to get the MIUI 14 are Redmi Note 11, 9 and 10 lineup. Also included are Redmi K40, Redmi K50 and K30 series devices that may get the upcoming MIUI 14 custom skin.
