New Delhi: Handset maker Xiaomi is set to unveil its Xiaomi 12 series and its custom ROM based on Android 12, MIUI 13 on December 28 (Tuesday). The new iteration of Xiaomi's proprietary MIUI is said to bring a range of performance improvements over MIUI 12.5. According to Xiaomi, the MIUI 13 will deliver improved “system fluency” and stability.
According to reports, the MIUI 13 will be rolled out to the following smartphones first - Xiaomi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi 11 Youth Vitality Edition, Xiaomi 11, Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro+.
As per the promo material of Android 12 based MIUI 13, the company's is promising improved app efficiency over MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition. The MIUI 13 experience should bring 20 per cent to 26 per cent greater "app fluency" while third-party apps will work with 15 per cent to 52 per cent better greater speed than those measured working on MIUI 12.5 smartphones, said a report.
Xiaomi's Co-Founder and CEO Lei Jun had earlier confirmed that the upcoming Xiaomi 12 lineup will feature MIUI 13 out-of-the-box.
