Homegrown handset maker Lava on Thursday (May 30) introduced its newest smartphone, the Yuva 5G, in India. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Powered by a Unisoc T750 chipset, the Lava Yuva 5G comes with 4GB of RAM and offers storage options of either 64GB or 128GB, both of which can be expanded via the microSD card slot.

The Lava Yuva 5G is available in two configurations: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage priced at Rs 9,499, and 4GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at Rs 9,999. The device will be available starting June 5 through e-commerce site Amazon India, the Lava e-store, and Lava retail outlets.

The back of the Lava Yuva 5G features a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP macro camera, while the front sports an 8MP camera housed in a punch-hole cutout. Running on Android 13 OS, the device is slated to receive an update to Android 14 later this year, according to the domestic handset maker. It is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W charging and includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The phone manages biometrics through a side-mounted fingerprint reader and also supports face unlock. The device features UFS 2.2 storage for faster data access. Lava is providing a 1-year warranty on the handset and a 6-month warranty on accessories.


To improve customer and after sales support, the domestic handset maker is providing a “Free Service at Home” option. During the warranty period, customers can have a technician visit their home for any service requirements.
