Handset maker Iqoo has started teasing the iQoo Z9 5G, the forthcoming addition to its Z series lineup in India, succeeding last year's iQoo Z7. The teaser reveals dual rear cameras featuring OIS for the primary sensor, along with distinctive patterns adorning the green-coloured phone's back. The smartphone has been appearing on numerous certification sites, offering enthusiasts sneak peeks at its prospective features and design.


The device has been spotted on numerous certification sites, hinting at some of its primary specifications. Early leaks have also showcased design renders of two purported iQoo Z9 models, said to include a base model and an iQoo Z9x variant. These are purported to follow the iQoo Z8 and iQoo Z8x, which debuted in China in earlier August 2023. Additionally, iQoo is preparing to unveil the iQoo Neo 9 Pro in India on February 22.


iQoo Z9 5G Specs And Features (Expected)


iQoo has confirmed that this will mark the first entry in the segment to run on the a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. Additionally, it has announced that the phone has achieved a score of 734,000 points on the AnTuTu 10 benchmark. This represents a significant advancement over the Dimensity 920 chipset found in the iQoo Z7.


A recent discovery on Geekbench, first noted by Nashville Chatter, has revealed key details about the upcoming iQoo Z9 5G. Identified as model number I2302, the listing indicates that the smartphone could be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. This contrasts with previous leaks that suggested the likelihood of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC powering the device.


The iQoo Z9 5G was also discovered in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database, suggesting an upcoming launch in India.


Additionally, the phone's Bluetooth SIG listing indicates support for Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Leaked design renders of the iQoo Z9 series depict two models, likely the base iQoo Z9 and iQoo Z9x, featuring textured gradient light blue back panels. One model showcases a circular dual rear camera unit, while the other exhibits a square-shaped camera module.
