In line with a few predictions, the shipments of the new Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models will be delayed until November in India, thus, pointing at higher demand for the Pro models, according to a report by news agency Bloomberg. The delivery of non-Pro models, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have also been pushed back, but not too far from the scheduled date of availability, said a report by Business Standard. The iPhone 15 series is slated to be available in India starting September 22 with pre-bookings opened last week.
The Bloomberg report added that shipment times for the blue and black iPhone Pro Max variants have been pushed back to as late as October 16, while the natural and white models have been delayed until November 13. Delays affected all storage capacities of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, a version that features a revamped camera and larger screen.

The iPhone 15 comes with an advanced portrait mode for an improved bokeh effect that will use machine learning (ML) to automatically switch to portrait mode when clicking images of animals and human subjects. Apple always used Lightning cables for charging iPhone models but that has changed with the iPhone 15 series. Apple also said that USB-C charging has "become universal".
For the Pro models, Apple has done away with its iconic "mute button" in favour of a new "Action button" that can be customised to perform tasks such as quickly accessing the camera, or starting a voice recording. The iPhone 15 Pro has been launched with a 6.1-inch display but the Pro Max model has a much bigger 6.7-inch display. According to Misha Scepanovic, the director of optical engineering, the iPhone 15 Pro comes with an advanced 48MP main camera. The camera comes with a new coating to reduce lens flare.
