Apple's recent 'Let Loose' event saw the unveiling of the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air lineup. Notably absent was an update to the iPad Mini, which has led some industry insiders to speculate about a potential release later this year. Bloomberg's tech analyst Mark Gurman hinted at this possibility, suggesting that a new iPad Mini could make its debut towards the end of the year, potentially replacing the existing 2021 model.
According to Gurman's insights shared via @appltrack, the anticipated iPad Mini refresh might not bring groundbreaking changes beyond a faster chip.
The current iPad Mini, launched in 2021, hasn't seen any updates since its release. Priced at Rs 64,900 for the 256GB Wi-Fi variant, it's powered by the A15 Bionic processor. Rumours suggest that the upcoming model could house an A16 chip and feature a slightly larger display compared to its predecessor.
Apple Launched 2 New iPads This Month
Alongside the speculation about the iPad Mini, Apple's event showcased updates to the iPad Air and iPad Pro series. The iPad Air now comes in 10.9-inch and 13-inch display options, boasting Liquid Retina (LCD) screens and powered by the octa-core M2 chip. On the other hand, the iPad Pro features a 'Tandem OLED' screen, available in 11-inch and 13-inch variants, and houses Apple's M4 chip, offering storage options of up to 2TB. All new models run on the latest iPadOS 17.

In terms of pricing, the iPad Pro (2024) starts at Rs 99,900 for the base 11-inch model, while the iPad Air (2024) begins at Rs 59,900 for the 11-inch version. Accompanying accessories include the Apple Pencil Pro, priced at Rs 11,900, and the new Magic Keyboard, starting at Rs 29,900.
