Apple iPhone 15 models are freezing due to a bug in the iOS 17, the media has reported. As reported by early users who tried to set up their devices, they were stuck at the Apple logo screen while transferring data from an old iPhone model. According to Apple, the iOS 17 bug is affecting iPhone 15 upgrade experience. The software issue is affecting iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models that have been shipped with iOS 17 pre-installed, says a report by 9to5Mac. The bug is likely to affect anybody switching phones that are running iOS 17 and using the transfer data option.

The tech giant has acknowledged the bug and also rolled out a fix with the iOS 17.0.2 update, says another report. However, the recently launched iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models are not shipping with the update pre-installed.

To resolve the issue, Apple says that you need to put the device into DFU mode and restore it using a computer, the report added.

It is pertinent to note that the iOS 17 issue is impacting users of only those iPhone 15 models that are being set up by transferring data from old iPhone models.

Notably, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is witnessing more demand than its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro Max, famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities, a financial services group, has recently said. However, production issues continue to plague Apple. The tech giant needs to address production delays which may result in longer shipping times.

The price of the iPhone 15 Pro starts at Rs 1,34,900 whereas iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,59,900 and the price of the iPhone 15 starts at Rs 79,900 for the 128GB variant while the iPhone 15 Plus, 128 GB model starts at Rs 89,900. The new iPhone models will be available in white titanium, blue titanium, black titanium, and natural titanium colourways in India. The vanilla iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be available in blue, pink, yellow, green and black colours.

For the Pro models, Apple has done away with its iconic "mute button" in favour of a new "Action button" that can be customised to perform tasks such as quickly accessing the camera, or starting a voice recording. The iPhone 15 Pro has been launched with a 6.1-inch display but the Pro Max model has a much bigger 6.7-inch display. According to Misha Scepanovic, the director of optical engineering, the iPhone 15 Pro comes with an advanced 48MP main camera. The camera comes with a new coating to reduce lens flare.
