Tech giant Google is going to bring a special feature for its Google Photos app. The company has announced that the 'Lock Folder' feature will be rolled out for users. This will allow Android users to hide their photos and videos.
When users hide the photos and videos they will not appear in Google Photos' 'Main Grid' and 'Search'.
Although the company is yet to reveal the launch date of the feature, according to media reports, this feature of Google Photos could be rolled out in June next year.
This feature can be introduced on Google's upcoming smartphone Pixel 6. Only after then, this feature will be supported in other smartphones.
This feature of Google Photos will assist users who want to hide their photos from others. Once locked with passcodes, no one will be able to see their photos and videos. These photos will not be shown in the 'Main Grid' and 'Search' of the Google Photos app. No one will be able to take a screenshot of the locked photos.
How To Use New Feature
Step 1: Go to the 'Library' of the Google Photos app to use the Locked Folder feature.
Step 2: Tap the 'Utilities' option.
Step 3: When you tap on it, you'll see the option of 'Locked Folder'.
Step 4: You will be able to lock your private photos and videos in this folder.
Step 5: You can lock the folder with a passcode so that no one can get access to it.
