Google is set to unveil its new smartphones Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel Watch today (Thursday) at the "Made By Google" event that is slated to start at 10 am ET or 7:30 pm IST. It should be noted that the US-based tech giant had earlier in May teased a glimpse of the upcoming Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, which are the successors to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, at its annual I/O event.
Google will unveil the Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7 and the Pixel Watch at an event in New York and it can be livestreamed via Google’s YouTube channel. This is what we know about the products that will be unveiled at the Made By Google event tonight.
Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7 expected specs and features
The smaller Pixel 7 is likely to feature a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with 1080x2400 pixel resolution. The display will be an AMOLED display with a refresh rate 90Hz. In terms of storage, there will be 8GB of RAM and it will arrive in two storage options: 128GB and 256GB of storage. The new Pixel 7 series will be powered by the company's own Tensor G2 chipset which is said to be developed in partnership with Samsung. While the original Tensor chip was not a powerhouse of chipset, the second generation Tensor chipset is likely to offer improved performance.
Pixel 7 Pro on the other hand will run Android 13 operating system and sport a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1440x3120 pixel resolution. The smartphone could pack in 128GB of RAM and comes in two storage options: 128GB and 256GB. The Pixel 7 Pro may come with a dual rear camera led by a 50MP primary sensor and 12MP ultra wide lens.
