The launch of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S24 series is slated for January next year, and the lineup is likely to feature three models: Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Ahead of the purported launch, the super premium Galaxy S24 Ultra has been sighted on both the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) and NBTC certification websites recently. NBTC is Thailand’s National Broadcasting & Telecommunications Commission. Rumours are circulating about the imminent global launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. While Samsung has not officially confirmed the launch date, speculations point towards a January 17 unveiling at an annual Unpacked event in the US.

A key highlight of the flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra could be the 45W fast charging capability. The device is anticipated to come with a 6.8-inch display and a quad-camera setup boasting an impressive 200MP sensor. The Galaxy S24 lineup would succeed the Galaxy S23 series unveiled in February of this year.

Hands-on images of the Galaxy S24 Ultra recently surfaced online, giving a glance at the flat display with a punch-hole cutout and a quad-camera setup at the rear. In a latest update, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has obtained NBTC certification, adding to its anticipated features.

As per the NBTC certification listing, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra bears the model number SM-S928B/DS, says a report in MySmartPrice. The listing further mentioned  that the upcoming device could offer 5G support.

As per previously leaked images of Galaxy S24 dummy units, a glimpse into the phones' potential appearance showed minor adjustments from the preceding Galaxy S23 models. Notable changes include rounded edges on the external metal frames of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones, deviating from the sharp edges of their predecessors.

In terms of hardware, a recent Geekbench listing indicated that the Galaxy S24 Ultra, identified by the model number SM-S928N, might feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the base Galaxy S24 model in the Korean version is expected to house an in-house Exynos 2400 SoC with 8GB of RAM. The Galaxy S24 series is rumored to ship with the One UI 6.0 skin based on Android 14.
