New Delhi: For the first time, Apple-owned audio accessories maker Beats has collaborated with another brand for building a product. Beats, also known as Beats By Dre, is launching its new Beats Studio Buds wireless earbuds, the company announced Wednesday.

Beats has collaborated with Union, a streetwear brand that is celebrating its 30th anniversary, to launch a limited-edition version of the Beats Studio Buds, Imore reported. The limited-edited version of the Beats Studio Buds features "a bold red, black and green design and packaging, drawing inspiration from the Pan-African flag and paying tribute to Union's roots as a Black-owned business", the report said. Union's historic frontman, which is an ode to the brand's legacy, can be seen in the case, according to the report.

"Music is the lifeblood of our store, so when Beats approached us, we were excited to work with them on these Buds. Collaboration is almost as important as music," the report quoted Union founders Chris and Beth Gibbs as saying.

To celebrate the announcement, Beats has also released a campaign film featuring rapper Vince Staples, along with Chris and Ben Gibbs, to celebrate the announcement. Chris and Ben Gibbs added, "It feels great to have worked with Beats on this project and to have collaborated with Vince Staples, a longtime friend of the store, to bring our vision to life."

Quoting Staples, the report said, "Union has always championed local and Black art, music and fashion, and their LA store on La Brea is one of my favorite places to shop. Beats and Union are family, so this campaign felt really authentic to be a part of."

The new limited-edition Beats Studio Buds can be bought at Union's Los Angeles and Tokyo stores as well as the company's online store on Wednesday at 9:00 am PST (10:30 pm IST). The earbuds are priced at $149.99 USD or Rs 11,238.38.
