Apple Vision Pro was released quite some time back and it became a short-time hit. It generated a significant buzz in the market and the ones who could afford it tried to get their hands on it, however, recently the sales of the device have witnessed a dip. According to reports, Apple is exploring ways to slash the cost of Vision Pro’s internal components and it is also simultaneously working on a more affordable model which might be released in the market by the end of 2025.

Reportedly Apple is also worried about the decrease in sales of Vision Pro headset and it thinks that the huge price tag and heavy construction are the culprits behind that decline.

The iPhone maker reportedly is calling its affordable variant of Apple Vision Pro 'N109'. For its 'N109', Apple plans to slash the weight of Vision Pro by at least one-third without compromising on the high-resolution display. The iPhone maker is likely to remove other components which it does not consider as 'important'.

Apple Vision Pro's Affordable Version 'N109': Price (Expected)

Regarding the pricing, it has been reported that Apple is targeting a price range similar to its high-end iPhone models. Last year, Bloomberg suggested that Apple might be developing a more affordable version of the Vision Pro headset, potentially priced between $1,500 and $2,500. This matches up with the latest report, as the 1TB storage model of the iPhone 15 Pro Max currently starts at $1,599 on Apple's website.

At the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) earlier this month, Apple announced that the headset would be expanding to more regions, including China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. However, there was no confirmation regarding its availability in India.
