Apple is gearing up for its highly anticipated 'Let Loose' event scheduled for May 7, where it will unveil its latest tablet offerings, including the iPad Pro and iPad Air. The event, set to commence at 7:30 pm (IST), will be streamed live on Apple's website, allowing a global audience to witness the unveiling of these new products. Now, the event is largely expected to see the launch of two new iPad models and some accessories as well.

It should be kept in mind that this will be a mini event, rumoured to last only 35 minutes (much shorter when compared to the Cupertino giant's usual hour-long affairs). So, it could be speculated that there won't be too many new launches at the event.

Here's everything we expect to see at Apple's 'Let Loose' event:

iPad Air: Everything We Expect To See

Among the anticipated announcements is the next-generation iPad Air, rumoured to come in a new 12.9-inch display variant in addition to the standard 10.9-inch model.

While maintaining the design framework of its predecessor, the 2024 iPad Air might feature a redesigned rear camera module akin to that of the Pro model. It is speculated to be powered by the M2 chip, with possibilities of the larger 12.9-inch model being equipped with the M3 chip.

Moreover, enhancements such as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support are anticipated for improved connectivity.

iPad Pro: OLED Display, More Expected Features

The highlight of the event is expected to be the next-generation iPad Pro, touted to introduce groundbreaking hardware upgrades, including an OLED display. This move marks a significant departure from previous models and is poised to offer variable refresh rates, potentially as low as 10Hz.

Available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, the Pro models are anticipated to feature slimmer bezels, enhancing the overall viewing experience. Moreover, the introduction of the Apple M4 chip is set to propel the iPad Pro 2024 as the company's first AI-powered device, featuring a redesigned camera module and landscape-oriented front camera.

Apple Accessories Expected: New Apple Pencil, More

In addition to the iPad lineup, Apple is expected to unveil new accessories, including updates to its pencil range and a revamped Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro 2024. Reports suggest that the new Magic Keyboard will boast enhanced durability and a larger trackpad, resembling a laptop-like aesthetic.

Apple AI On The Plate As Well?

During a recent quarterly earnings call, Apple's CEO Tim Cook hinted at the company's ongoing investments in generative AI. With the impending launch of the M4 chip, Apple is poised to introduce new AI features on its latest iPad models. Cook teased "exciting things" to be announced at both the 'Let Loose' event and the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), emphasising Apple's commitment to innovation in the AI space.
