The Apple iPhone SE 4 will be priced a bit higher than its predecessor, a tipster posted on X, formerly Twitter, but Apple plans to keep it under $499, says a report by GSMArena. For reference, the former iPhone SE model started at $429. The upcoming iPhone SE 4 is likely to be launched in 2025, and we now have an estimated US price.

The Cuprtino-based tech giant is expected to launch the next-gen iPhone SE in the next spring, and since last August, display makers have reportedly been bidding to become a supplier of its display. Additionally, tipster @Revegnus1 has unveiled a new leak, suggesting there is more to expect.

Apple iPhone SE 4 Features And Specs (Expected)

The price could be higher than the iPhone SE 3’s starting price, likely due to rumoured new features like a redesigned look, Face ID, and an OLED display. Here is the complete list of supposed iPhone SE 4 upgrades and pricing details. The Apple iPhone SE 4 could get an iPhone 14-like makeover.

According to tipster @Revegnus1 who posted on X, the iPhone SE 4's price in the US could either remain the same or see an increase of around 10 per cent, but it is expected to stay under $499. For comparison, the iPhone SE 3rd generation launched in 2022 with a starting price of $429 for the base 64GB model. The 128GB variant was priced at $479, while only the 256GB model exceeded $500 with the launch price set at $579 in the US.

The upcoming iPhone SE 4 might see Touch ID be replaced by Face ID, and the LCD screen could be swapped for an OLED display, potentially a less expensive version using legacy components from older models. The display size may increase from 4.7 inches to 6.1 inches as well.

Additionally, the Lightning port could be replaced by a USB-C port, as we saw Apple doing with the iPhone 15 lineup. The new Apple iPhone SE might include the multifunction Action Button from the iPhone 15 series. By reusing components from previous iPhones, Apple could keep the SE's price lower, making it the “cheaper” option in Apple’s 2025 iPhone lineup, according a report by The Information.

Meanwhile, famed Apple anaylst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a new battery with higher energy density than the current iPhone 15 Pro Max. If Apple maintains the same battery capacity as the 2023 flagship model, this could result in improved battery life for the upcoming device. Kuo also notes that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be encased in stainless steel, whereas Apple currently uses aluminum for its existing smartphones.

This year, Apple is expected to increase the size of two models in the iPhone 16 series. According to previous reports and recently leaked dummy images, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively -- each 0.2 inches larger than last year's Pro and Pro Max models.

The other two models are expected to retain the same display sizes as their predecessors.
