New Delhi: A new affordable Apple iPhone SE is set to be launched on March 8 and according to the latest tip, the iPhone SE 3 is likely to be available at a starting price of  $300 or roughly Rs 22,500. According to a new tip by analyst John Donovan, the upcoming iPhone SE 3 may cost $300 that making it much cheaper than the base variant of the Apple iPhone 12 in the US. The iPhone SE 3 will be a 5G device and Apple has not yet confirmed the official unveiling date.

Even if the tip is accurate, the India price of the iPhone SE 3 will be higher than $300 as iPhone models cost higher in the country due to the applicable taxes and Apple's pricing decisions.

Earlier this month, a report suggested that Apple had begun testing the purported third-generation iPhone SE in India and had also imported two tablets, purportedly the upcoming iPad Air and the budget iPad, for testing in the country. The Cupertino, California-based tech giant had imported three iPhone SE models into India, with model numbers A2595, A2783, and A2784 and according to the import data, the model has a price of Rs 23,000, said a report published by 91Mobiles.

Quoting industry sources, the report added that the two iPad models have been imported for testing purposes and the next iteration in the "budget" iPhone SE lineup is the purported iPhone SE 3. The trio is likely to be officially unveiled in India this spring. Earlier in January, Dylan, who has built a strong reputation within the Apple community last year, mentioned that the Cupertino, California-based tech giant will release an iPhone SE with 5G, a spec-sheet bump, and the same design as the 2020 model.

Meanwhile, Samsung's premium flagship series, the Galaxy S22 lineup has already been unveiled in India and it is likely that OnePlus 10 Pro series may also be launched in India next month also.
