New Delhi: There have been a couple of leaks and rumours about the purported iPhone SE 2022 edition and now, the next iteration in the "affordable" iPhone SE lineup, the iPhone SE 3 is likely to launch in April, according to a new report. According to a report by news agency Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the upcoming iPhone SE 3 will be unveiled at the iPhone maker's next virtual launch event that is likely to happen in March or April this year.

Meanwhile, a few CAD renders leaked by TenTechReview in partnership with leakster David Kowalski (@xleaks7) suggest that the upcoming iPhone SE 3 could arrive with a design language similar to the previous-gen iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone XR. There could also be a single rear camera along with LED flash as we have seen in previous iPhone SE models.

Earlier in January, Dylan, who has built a strong reputation within the Apple community last year, mentioned that the Cupertino, California-based tech giant will release an iPhone SE with 5G, a spec-sheet bump, and the same design as the 2020 model. "The iPhone SE with a similar design to the XR/11 with a slightly smaller screen size, has been pushed back to an expected release of 2024. For 2022, Apple will instead release an iPhone SE with 5G, a spec bump, and the same design as the 2020 model," Dylan had tweeted from his handle @dylandkt.

More exciting will be to see the purported iPhone SE with the same design language as the iPhone XR or iPhone 11, if it sees the light of the day, at all.

Meanwhile, according to a previous report from December, Apple iPhone SE 3 5G, the next iteration in the "affordable" iPhone SE lineup, may have entered the trial production phase already. The device is likely to arrive with an A15 Bionic chip and an X60 5G baseband modem, a report by tech publication ITHome had said.
