Apple's Foldable Phone made headlines earlier this year regarding the expected launch, however, according to the latest reports, the iPhone maker is expected to postpone the launch of the foldable phone significantly. According to the market research firm, TrendForce, Apple has postponed the launch of the foldable phone until 2027. This might come as a shocker for many especially with so many rumours floating around the device and Apple's alleged plan to join the foldable phone lineup.
As per the reactions on several social media platforms regarding the same, it seems like both tech enthusiasts as well as Apple fans are not very happy with this news as they were eagerly waiting for the release of a foldable iPhone which they could flaunt. According to a Financial Express report, industry experts believe that “Apple’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is worth the wait. By taking the time to develop and perfect the necessary components, Apple is ensuring that its foldable phone will not only be innovative but also reliable and durable.”

TrendForce in its recent report explained that the iPhone maker is “unlikely to release a foldable phone before 2027 but its entry could significantly shift market dynamics.” According to experts, Apple is still evaluating component specifications and performance, with strict requirements for ‘crease and reliability,’ as reported by the Financial Express.
Earlier in March, a Korean outlet stated that the iPhone maker pushed back the timeline for the launch of its foldable iPhone from the fourth quarter of 2026 to the first quarter of 2027. According to the speculations made thereafter, it is believed that the launch of the foldable iPhone was delayed after consideration of the preparation for various items, including the supply of foldable displays.
