Flipkart Minutes, the instant delivery service of e-commerce giant Flipkart, has commenced operations in several Bengaluru localities, including HSR and Bellandur. The introduction of Flipkart Minutes comes as the rapid delivery sector becomes increasingly crucial for e-commerce companies. Competitors such as Zomato's Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto are also vying for a substantial share of this burgeoning market.

Flipkart has yet to announce a nationwide rollout date for Minutes services.

An Offshoot Of Flipkart Quick?

Notably, Flipkart has tested similar services in the past, even before the surge in 15-20 minute deliveries in 2021 with Flipkart Quick and others. However, the current model is set to offer a new approach and much lesser delivery times.

Flipkart Minutes has introduced a unique feature allowing customers to cancel or refuse orders at the doorstep if the products do not meet their expectations, a service not yet offered by competitors. These initial perks are designed to attract and expand Flipkart's customer base, though such incentives may be scaled back as user adoption increases, reported by Moneycontrol.

Flipkart has been formulating plans for its quick commerce segment since at least March, spurred by the success of new players in this arena. Leveraging its strong e-commerce foundation, the company is now exploring rapid delivery.

How Is Flipkart Quick Performing?

Currently, as reported by Moneycontrol, users are experiencing delivery times of 8-16 minutes, comparable to other leading quick commerce services. These could be early-day issues and such creases might get ironed out later on.

Are There Free Deliveries On Flipkart Minutes?

Flipkart Minutes is offering free deliveries for orders exceeding Rs 99 and charging a Rs 5 platform fee, adding a revenue stream for the company.
