OpenAI's viral chatbot ChatGPT is now generating shockingly detailed images. ChatGPT parent OpenAI has started testing a new version of its DALL·E image generator within a small group of testers. According to the company, users of ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise will soon get the ability to generate images with this new version of its DALL·E 3. It will be integrated into ChatGPT next month.

ChatGPT creator OpenAI made the announcement on X, formerly Twitter: "Our new text-to-image model, DALL·E 3, can translate nuanced requests into extremely detailed and accurate images. Coming soon to ChatGPT Plus & Enterprise, which can help you craft amazing prompts to bring your ideas to life: https://openai.com/dall-e-3."

OpenAI has said on DALL·E 3’s official page that the text-to-image model "significantly understands" more nuance and detail than its previous systems. It allows users to easily translate their ideas into shockingly accurate pictures.

DALL·E 3 has shown a particular knack for generating images containing letters, numbers and human hands, the company has said. OpenAI has also claimed that even with the same prompt, DALL·E 3 delivers significant improvements over DALL·E 2.

To recall, soon after its launch in November 2022, ChatGPT quickly shot to the position of the fastest-growing application in history. However, after an initial surge in user adoption, the firm observed a progressive decline in user engagement in the past few months. Data sourced from SimilarWeb reveals a notable contraction in the user base of ChatGPT as of the end of July. In fact, ChatGPT observed a consecutive third-month decline in monthly website traffic during August.

Meanwhile, OpenAI is set to host its first developer conference in November. OpenAI will host its first developer conference in San Francisco on November 6. Developer registration for in-person attendance will start in the coming weeks and developers will be able to live-stream the keynote, the company recently announced.
