Rapido co-founder, Aravind Sanka, as the guest speaker at the highly anticipated 'Southern Rising Summit' by ABP Network, shared some valuable tips and insights for young entrepreneurs who are just starting out now. He said that the biggest thing in the journey of an entrepreneur is the will to start. The process of coming out of the comfort zone is what marks the biggest step in the journey, said Sanka.

The Rapido co-founder then advocated for shamelessness. He emphasised how important it is to become shameless when you are trying to become a successful entrepreneur. He shared about his own personal experience when he knocked on doors of people to ask for money for his company. He said that people are willing to help, you just have to ask them for it and they will guide you then. He said that this strategy worked a lot for him and he would encourage others to practice the same.

Rapido Is One Of The Biggest Employers In India

Interviewer Chetan Bhagat asked about how Rapido is one of the biggest employers in India to which Sanka responded by saying, "Every month there are more than 20 lakh drivers working on our platform in multiple modes of transport." The discussion then focused on how a number of companies tried to build a business in bike commute but ended up shutting their shops whereas Rapdio has been thriving.

The Rapido co-founder said, "We are operational in 100 cities and every month 20 lakh people make money on Rapido, in Hyderabad alone there are 4 lakh people who make money on our platform. We are a supply first product, we care about drivers and captains. We are the only platform who don't take commission from drivers. I think that is what changed the way. We wanted to run the company, but we wanted drivers to benefit the most from the platform."

He then talked about how Rapido survives in this cut-throat competitive landscape and said, "Global companies make the mistake of making the cost of running the business so high, due to which they have to shut down. We made sure that the running cost for company is less, which is why we are able to survive and ensure that drivers get the most benefits."
