A moving car caught fire on GST road near Pallavaram in Chennai on Friday night. The driver who noticed the fire while driving to the parking lot of a shopping center moved out of the car immediately. As a result, no casualties were reported. Based on the information, fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control. 


According to ANI, "#WATCH | Tamil Nadu: A car went up in flames on GST road near Pallavaram in Chennai. Fire tenders immediately reached the spot and the fire has been brought under control."



 


According to ANI, Selvam, the car driver, was driving the car along with its owner. They reached Saravana Stores at Pallavaram when the mishap took place. 


An official said that the driver after dropping the owner at the store was on the way to park the car at the parking area. However, he noticed smoke from the Bonnet of the car and immediately rushed out of it. 


The fire accident resulted in traffic disruption for over an hour on GST main road. 


"No one was injured," an official said, as per ANI.


Meanwhile, another fire accident was reported in the two coaches of Udyan Express in Bengaluru.

On Saturday, fire broke out in two coaches of Udyan Express while it was stationed at KSR Bengaluru Railway Station. No casualties were reported since all the passengers got down at the station. 


The incident took place at platform No. 3 at 7.10 AM, said a report on Indian Express. The fire was noticed from B1 and B2 coaches. 


The firefighters were immediately alerted and they reached the spot to put out the fire. In 20 minutes, the brigade put out the fire at 7.35 am. The railway officials are investigating and trying to ascertain the cause of the fire.
