A 33-year-old woman was dragged on the road by an accused in a car while he attempted to snatch her chain in Coimbatore. Based on the complaint, the police arrested two people in the case.

While the woman was walking, the accused downed the window pane of a car and attempted to snatch her chain. In the attempt, they dragged her along with a car, as per a report on The New Minute. Later, the accused escaped from the spot.

The CCTV footage showed the woman falling down and being dragged by the accused while he attempted to snatch her chain.
In a surprise turn of events, the woman was able to save the chain from the snatchers.
Later, the woman filed a complaint with the police. Based on the complaint and the CCTV visuals, the police arrested the accused Abhishek and Sakthivel.
Abhishek is reportedly a history sheeter who has chain-snatching cases pending against him for a long time. A native of Dharmapuri, Abhishek settled in Coimbatore and has been working as a food delivery executive with a food-delivery app.
