Chennai: Udhayanidhi Stalin, Tamil Nadu Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, is set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Tuesday. He is expected to meet the PM at 4 PM.


The Tamil Nadu Minister is meeting prominent leaders for the first time within a couple of months of taking office as a Minister. He will also submit the list of demands of various departments of the state government to the national leaders. 


According to The New Indian Express, DMK youth wing chief will also meet Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh and Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur. He is expected to insist Anurag Thakur to consider Tamil Nadu as a destination for conducting international sports events.


Udhayanidhi is also expected to meet Tamil students who got injured in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) violence on February 19. 


On Monday, Udhayanidhi Stalin reached the national capital and received a warm welcome from TN officials including Tamil Nadu Government Special Representative AKS Vijayan.


Later, he met Delhi Tamil Sangam, Delhi Muthamizh Peravai and Delhi Tamil Education Association members. He halted at Tamil Nadu House, said a report on The New Indian Express.


He also took part in the reception of Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit, who earlier served as TN Governor, in the evening.

Udhayanidhi is also expected to invite some leaders to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's 70th birthday celebrations.


After becoming a Minister, Udhayanidhi first went to Odisha and met CM Naveen Patnaik.
