A day after DMK MP Senthilkumar's 'Gaumutra' slur, which had been expunged from records, the political scenario in Tamil Nadu witnessed heightened tensions. Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai responded vehemently, expressing doubt about accepting apologies of the MP. Annamalai, characterizing the DMK MP as a repeat offender, drew parallels between the remarks and a flawed ideology, making comparisons to Hitler's theory.

A day after his statement led to a massive row, DMK MP DNV Senthilkumar withdrew his comment on Hindi heartland states on Wednesday. He also expressed regret over the same in Lok Sabha and asked the Speaker to expunge the same. The MP said, "The statement made by me yesterday inadvertently, if it had hurt the sentiments of the Members and sections of the people, I would like to withdraw it. I request the words to be expunged...I regret it."

Over the DMK MP’s expunged remark, Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai said, " If such words are said by mistake then apology can be accepted but if the words are said because of a deep sense of insecurity...then nobody is going to accept the apology...the words uttered by the DMK MP...it came from a deep sense of seeing India the wrong way, it came from deep sense of their faulty ideology...he is a repeated offender."

"DMK's theory is similar to Hitler's theory...this theory has to be nipped in the bud...politically, DMK should be thrown out of Tamil Nadu," he said.
