Tamil Nadu IT Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan on Friday said that Tamil Nadu will implement Telangana's IT policies and strategies in the state. The Minister made the statement during his three-day visit to Telangana to study about the IT sector in the region. On Friday, Thiaga Rajan met Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao at the Telangana State Secretariat.


According to PTI, Thiaga Rajan said, "Telangana achieved remarkable development under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and that Hyderabad accomplished robust growth in the IT sector."


He continued by saying that although Tamil Nadu was intended to be comparable to Hyderabad and Bengaluru, the IT sector has not experienced the necessary growth as a result of previous administrations.


On Friday, the second day of the visit, Tamil Nadu delegation visited Telangana innovation ecosystem which includes the T-Works, T-Hub, WE Hub, and T-Fiber office in Gachibowli in Hyderabad, as per the report. 


PTR and his team met stakeholders of IT sector and IT Department officials as well as explained about the initiative of Telangana government to the Minister.


Taking to social media, Minister for IT, Industries, MA & UD, Telangana KTR said, "Tamil Nadu's Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services, Thiru @ptrmadurai expressed admiration for Telangana's remarkable progress in the IT sector under Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao's leadership."


"On its two day visit to Hyderabad, the Tamilnadu delegation led by Minister PTR explored the city's thriving IT ecosystem including @THubHyd, @WEHubHyderabad, @TWorksHyd and T-Fiber, and engaged with stakeholders at Tech Mahindra campus," he said. 


KTR also highlighted that PTR announced plans to adopt Telangana's IT policies and strategies in Tamil Nadu, aiming to foster similar growth and development in his state.
