A Helium tank exploded in Tamil Nadu's Tiruchy leaving one dead and several injured. This incident occurred at a busy Kotai Vasal market area in Tiruchy on Sunday evening. The incident was captured from different angles on the CCTV cameras.


Several people, including a 13-year-old boy, were injured in the blast. Also, in the video glasses of vehicles and shops can be seen shattered. The deceased was identified as Maattu Ravi.

The Tiruchy police are on the lookout for the balloon vendor whose helium tank got exploded. The police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.


The victim, a male, was reportedly smoking right next to the helium tank, which led to the explosion, a Hindustan Times report said. The police have reportedly arrested the balloon seller, Nar Singh, and have charged him with "causing death by negligence".
