Chennai: The All India Congress Committee stayed the suspension order and disciplinary proceedings against MLA R Manoharan on Thursday. KN Ramasamy, Chairman of the state disciplinary action committee on Wednesday suspended MLA R Manoharan allegedly for his "improper action contravention to the principle of nature justice".
According to ANI, “AICC stays the suspension order & disciplinary proceedings issued by KN Ramasamy, Chairman of state disciplinary action committee of MLA R Manoharan stating that the procedure followed for his suspension was "improper & in contravention to principle of nature justice."

On Thursday, a press release by Dinesh Gundu Rao, in-charge of Tamil Nadu, Goa and Puducherry, said: “It has come to my notice that Sri. K.N. Ramasamy, Chairman Disciplinary Action Committee of Tamilnadu PCC has suspended Sri. Ruby Manoharan, MLA. The procedure has been followed improperly and it has been done in contravention to the principle of nature justice.”
“I hereby stay the suspension order made against Sri. Ruby R.Manoharan, MLA and also stay the entire disciplinary proceedings in the above matter being conducted by the Disciplinary Action Committee of Tamilnadu PCC,” he said.
Earlier, TN Congress issued an order suspending Ruby Manoharan since he failed to appear in person for an inquiry over violence in Sathyamurthy Bhavan in Chennai. Ruby Manoharan skipped the summon allegedly due to the commitments in his constituency.
He also sought time to appear for the investigation. However, KR Ramasamy, chairman of TNCC's disciplinary action committee suspended Manoharan until he gives a proper explanation.
