Chennai: A man from Tamil Nadu poured petrol and set his electric bike on fire in Chennai on Tuesday. The man who was facing battery issues since April 15 tried calling helpline numbers and emailing to support system but he got a response only on April 26 so irked by the poor response he set his bike on fire.

A physiotherapist from Ambur, Prithviraj said, "This is the 4th time I'm complaining about the e-bike. There was 20% charge but suddenly got to 0% and now I'm standing in the middle of the road for assistance."

"I'm frequently getting an error and request to reboot but once I do so the charge comes to 0%" he said.
