Chennai: The infamous Tamil Nadu police inspector Munisekar, who shot dead his fellow colleague Periyapandian in Rajasthan while the team was conducting a search to nab a Rajasthan-based gang in a jewellery heist case a few years ago, now faces a new allegation. A man has accused Munisekar of having an alleged illicit affair with his wife. 


According to a report on DT Next, the police based on the complaint have ordered a departmental enquiry and transferred inspector Munisekar to vacancy reserve (VR). In the complaint, the man said that the inspector of Thirukazhukundram in Chengalpattu district Munisekar was in an alleged relationship with his wife and he came to know about the alleged relationship after finding nude images of the inspector and audio recordings of phone calls with his wife. 


The man said that he has been married to his wife for the past nine years and they have two children. However, the man said, they have been having a happy marriage until his wife frequently travelled to Thirukazhukundram to allegedly "meet her sister". Following this, he said he grew suspicious and searched the phone of wife and was shocked to find nude images of the inspector and found video call recordings and audio recordings of calls between his wife and the inspector.

Following this, the Chengalpattu district officials moved the inspector to vacancy reserve for a fair inquiry and assured to take the suitable action, the report said. A senior police official of Chengalpattu district said that the additional SP and other officers have recorded the statement of the inspector and a report will be readied soon.
